(as originally published on the home page in May 2022)
Over the past few months twice we have managed to halt the development off Brook Lane, first a deferral, then refusal, for Robert Hitchins’ application for 160 odd houses.
It is, however, more than possible that consent will eventually be realised; not least because the site is a part of the infamous JCS allocation from 2017.
If that does happen, the critical thing will be to stay on the case for the resolution of detail, e.g. access, surface-water drainage, sewerage, water supply, green space, positioning of houses, trees and hedges, and more.
As part of a tactical manoeuvre, Robert Hitchins have now submitted an identical application on the same site.
This means that anyone who submitted comments on their previous application should now resubmit them. The more people who do this will help make Tewkesbury Borough Council aware of the problems. If anyone hasn’t submitted comments and would like to, please do so now.
