This Flood Warning has been removed.
River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. The Flood Warning for the area has now been removed. However, a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding may still affect roads and low-lying land. No further rainfall is forecast.
We continue to monitor the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

The flood this last week at 11.04 m AOD was only 31 cm below the 2007 flood of 11.35 m AOD. Fortunately it was not raining at the same time as the flood. Water was standing on the A38 at Broadboard Bridge & entering into our garden at School House. Many drivers ignored the road flooding & raced through at speed, making a bow wave that displaced even more water.
