New customer portal launched – digital access to council tax and business rates information

Tewkesbury Borough Council has launched its new Citizens Access customer portal which allows residents and businesses access to real time council tax and business rate information 24 hours a day.

Customers can register for an online account to view their bill, set up a direct debit, apply for a discount or exemption, and notify the council about a property move.

Flood Alert in force: River Severn in Gloucestershire.

Flooding is possible for: River Severn from Tewkesbury to Gloucester.

Be prepared.

River levels are rising at the Mythe Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent the River Severn from Tewkesbury to Gloucester. Locations that may be affected include Apperley and Maisemore. Predicted peaks:- Mythe 3.0m to 3.3m Sunday morning 03/03/24, Haw Bridge 4.0m to 4.3m Sunday morning 03/03/24, Sandhurst 2.9m to 3.2m Sunday morning 03/03/24, Gloucester 2.2m to 2.5m Sunday morning 03/03/24.

Further showers are forecast over the next few hours.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens.

Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

Tewkesbury Borough Council sets budget for 2024/25

Tewkesbury Borough Council has approved a budget for 2024/25, which sees its council tax rate remaining as one of the lowest in the country. 
 
On Tuesday, 27 February, the council agreed a balanced budget of £12,463,511. This includes an increase in council tax for a Band D property of £5 per year, from £139.36 to £144.36, which means the average Band D householder in Tewkesbury Borough will be paying less than £2.80 per week for the various essential services provided by the Borough Council.
