Gloucestershire County Council is proposing:
1. To introduce a 40mph speed limit along part of the A38 Tewkesbury Road, Down Hatherley; and
2. To reduce the extent of the existing 50mph speed limit to align with the proposed extent of 40mph speed limit mentioned in number 1 above.

40 mph is too fast. From the junction of down Hatherley Lane to the roundabout by the queens head pub should be 30 mph. As a resident it’s awful with people speeding – especially as the volume of traffic has increased significantly. It’s often dangerous and difficult to get off the drive and cross the road.

While we do not disagree with your comment… this Traffic Order does not cover the section of the A38 you refer to… unfortunately, it is not within the powers of the Parish Council to change this, we have though, repeatedly brought this to the attention of the GCC Highways and we shall continue in this endeavour to make changes to our roads for the safety of all local residents.

All speed reductions are welcome, but would love to see a 30mph through Twigworth, due to increased habitation and ages of residents both young and old.
