Twigworth News – Result of Survey

First of all, thank you to all those residents who took part in our recent survey to find out how many of you read our monthly publication, Twigworth News, on a regular basis.

The poll was shared on the Parish Council website, as well as on the Facebook pages of the Parish Council and Twigworth Green Residents.

Out of a total of 58 people who took part, the results were as follows:

• 37.9% were not aware of Twigworth News
• 51.7% said that they read Twigworth News regularly
• 10.3% said that they read Twigworth News only occasionally

The results are somewhat disappointing, particularly given the amount of time and effort that goes into producing the publication each month. Since launching the revised newsletter in its present format in 2023, we have published a total of 46 monthly newsletters and 9 special editions.

The newsletter is intended to keep residents informed about matters affecting the parish, local events, council activities, planning issues, and other topics of community interest. We would therefore encourage residents, where possible, to try and find the time to read it regularly.

Producing the newsletter requires a considerable commitment from the editors and contributors, and it is important that the effort involved is worthwhile.

If readership remains low, it may become necessary to consider whether that time and energy could be used more effectively on other parish matters and community issues.
