In an Emergency, would YOU know where the Twigworth Defibrillator is and how to use it?

Location

The Twigworth Defibrillator is located at The Local Centre, Janes Pantry on the wall to the right of the main entrance, it is also illuminated at night and heated in cold weather to protect the batteries.

Secure Access

The Defibrillator is stored within a yellow DefibSafe which can only be accessed by a security code on the digital keypad, this code can only be provided by the Emergency Operator when calling 999.

How to use the Defibrillator

The Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator is FULLY AUTOMATIC and has digital voice prompts and pictorial diagrams to assist the user…. anyone can use the Defibrillator and no training is required…you just switch it on and follow the voice instructions.

Watch the following video on how to use the Defibrillator in an emergency.

Defibrillator Special Newsletter

Within weeks of our Defibrillator being installed, it was used in a local emergency!

The Defibrillator is registered on The Circuit and is available 24/7 for the Emergency Services

The Defibrillator was provided by the Twigworth Parish Council and was funded by the Gloucestershire County Council “Build Back Better” scheme and permission for the location was kindly provided by Robert Hitchins and Janes Pantry.

Our thanks also to our sponsor for replacement electrode pads Modern Heroes Car Sales, D5 Innsworth Technology Park.

Community Walkabout

One of our pledges as a new administration is that we want to be as open as possible with communities and listen to constituents concerns and ideas.

As part of this, Paul and I are in the process of securing venues for regular councillor surgeries in all three parishes and would like to hold walkabouts throughout the year.

The Twigworth walkabout will be this Saturday 10th June. We already have a list of places to visit given to us by several members of the public. If you can’t join us and would like to add an area/road to our list, please send us an email.

We look forward to meeting some of you over the next three weeks.
